About the J series
The J VRF series consists of heat pump outdoor units for cooling and heating buildings with many smaller rooms. The manufacturer describes the smaller J-IV units as suitable for commercial premises housing several small shops and recommends the slim J-IVL units for mid-sized office buildings and hotels, while the larger models serve a large number of indoor units, making them suitable for educational buildings too. Multiple indoor units connect to one outdoor unit, and long permitted piping runs give freedom in system design. J-IVL units discharge air to the front and can be installed directly on the ground or on a wall, even in narrow passages, and their low operating noise suits densely populated areas.

View the certificateThe rating tests the unit on an imaginary reference house. The design load is what that house needs at the design temperature (−10 °C in the average European climate), not the unit’s capacity; where the unit falls short of it, the rating assumes an electric backup heater covers the difference. The “at least” figures show what the unit delivered to that house at the stated temperature, not the most it can give.
According to the manufacturer, the unit heats down to an outdoor temperature of -20 °C.
